What is mulberry silk?

Mulberry silk comes from silkworms fed only on mulberry leaves. It has long, even fibres, which makes it smoother, stronger and softer than other silks.

What does “momme” mean?

Momme (mm) measures the weight and thickness of silk. Higher momme means a denser, more durable fabric. 22 momme is a premium weight that feels substantial and lasts well with proper care.

Is your silk real silk or satin?

Our products are made from 100% mulberry silk. Satin is a weave, usually made from polyester, and doesn’t have the same feel or benefits.

Why sleep on silk?

Silk creates less friction than cotton, so it’s gentler on hair and skin while you sleep. It also breathes well, helping you stay comfortable through the night.

Care

How do I wash my silk?

Hand wash in cool water with a gentle, pH-neutral or silk-specific detergent, or machine wash on a delicate cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Don’t wring it. Gently press out water with a towel and hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.

Can I iron silk?

Yes, on a low (silk) setting, on the reverse side, while the silk is slightly damp.
